Bowel Cancer West provides education and training to the healthcare community, funds vital local research, and campaigns to raise the profile of bowel cancer to ensure early diagnosis. As the head of this regional charity, key achievements were:-CAGR of 225% over a three year period. Developing a robust fundraising programme.-Managing operations including; finance, governance, relationships with key-stake-holders, staff, volunteers and the board of directors. -Establishing a new research and training programmes working with leading academics and NHS professionals to fund ground-breaking research into colorectal diseases. -Leading several high-profile awareness campaigns including interviews with the BBC and regional media as the 'face' of the charity.
