CAREER SUMMARY Over 30 years unbroken employment in the financial derivatives markets, from their inception in the early ‘80s through to 2015. My areas of activity included trading, structuring, origination, execution, credit risk, regulation, documentation and administration. The derivative markets I covered included interest rates, foreign exchange, commodities and commercial property. PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE DELOITTE (1979-1983) Trainee Chartered Accountant, leading to professional qualification MORGAN GRENFELL (1983-1993) Founding member of one of London’s first derivatives trading and sales operations.Experience included the full range of front-office activities from trading to structuring and sales. Product areas included interest rates, FX and commodities. Rose to head of derivative origination and member of the Bank Credit Committee Appointed Main Board Director in 1993. DEUTSCHE BANK, London Branch (1992-2002) Managing Director, Derivatives Origination After Morgan Grenfell was integrated into Deutsche Bank, I was responsible for heading derivative structuring and sales in the areas of commercial real estate, PFI, project finance and private equity. EUROHYPO AG, London Branch (2002-2013) Managing Director, Derivatives Origination I transferred from Deutsche Bank to its subsidiary commercial real estate bank, Eurohypo - which was the largest commercial real estate lender in Europe. My mandate was to establish and lead its derivatives origination capability in the UK. Responsible for structuring, execution and on-going management of all UK client hedging business. Executed the world’s first commercial real estate index derivative transaction, which was reported in a front-page article in the Financial Times. Pension Fund Trustee WELLS FARGO BANK, London Branch (2013-2015) Managing Director, Derivatives Origination Wells Fargo acquired Eurohypo’s London business in 2013. I continued to lead their derivatives origination, specifically in the area of commercial real estate finance. Retired (2016) INPROP CAPITAL (2017 – date) Partner InProp is an innovative institutional fund manager, currently developing a ground-breaking new fund for large pension funds and other long-term investors, focused on the UK residential property market. We also specialize in complex derivative solutions for the institutional investment community, particularly in relation to longevity risk and property exposures.
