Service Contractor ABM Facility Operations Admin. Services for Vanguard Investment Group – Present.As a member of the ABM Facility Operations Admin. Team, I support the Vanguard Group in providing services associated with assisting Vanguard to become self-managing for their Charlotte four building campus in the Lake Point Business Park. This Facility is one of three major global support centers that support global trading in all worldwide time zones. I perform operations and change requests in cooperation with the GSC to facilitated needed operations in the facilities critical MDF and IDF environments.

Charlotte, North Carolina Area

Perform power installation to newly installed servers. Perform MOPs and change requests within a critical environment. Monthly generator run tests on load banks and inspections of mechanical and electrical systems. Perform PM inspections on equipment and systems related to a critical environment. Developed self-populating inventory control system and a spread sheet system to efficiently organize equipment. Cooperate with colleagues and GNOC in planned and organized change orders within the critical environment. Assist other trades in general maintenance and operations within the power distribution systems.

Charlotte, North Carolina Area

I perform repairs and preventive maintenance tasks as well as the necessary hands-on work required by AT&T within the (CRDC) Charlotte Regional Data Centers’ standards and guidelines associated with the MOPs and change requests created within a critical environment. This includes monthly generator bldg. load test runs and repair & maintenance of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, (BAS) building automation systems, etc. I perform preventive maintenance and repairs on Chillers, CHW cooled AHUs, CRAH units, DDC, VAVs and PIUs, Cooling Towers and various other mechanical equipment, UPS, PDU/STS, battery string and Sub Station electrical equipment, plumbing and other various building systems to maintain the CRDC to its peak operational condition. I also identify energy savings opportunities when possible including system and operational changes that would decrease the property’s energy consumption or improve efficiency in job performance. I independently planned and organized my work assignments to effectively perform my duties and assist other trades in general maintenance and operations within AT&T’s CRDC. Knowledge of pneumatics, electronics, high and low voltage systems, generators and switchgear systems, mechanical systems, mechanical and electrical schematics, blueprints and refrigerant circuits and processes are required.

As the lead lab technician, I was the 3rd shift’s QAC Lab team supervisor in charge of the testing and analysis of 500 ton to 1500 ton 19XR and 23XR Chillers using ARI run conditions at 100%, 75%, 50% and 25% load conditions for customer certifications, pre-witnesses and engineering audits. The conditions were E-CAT engineering program calculated and tested in our QAC Lab by us after production. These chiller tests were witnessed by, and shipped to customers all over the world. Documenting and recording the E - CAT based software testing performance data and collecting, processing and analyzing the data was my key job responsibility. My knowledge of high and low voltage systems, 50Hz and 60Hz configurations, generator and switchgear operations and electrical, electronic and mechanical trouble shooting was also one of my major function as well. My ability to read and troubleshoot electrical and electronic schematics and engineering blueprints to facilitate required adjustments and repairs were required as well as Chiller vessel vacuum processes, refrigerant reclaiming, and refrigerant charging of the newly manufactured and tested chillers to facilitate customer shipping requirements.

I was the lead HVAC/ Data Center Engineer for the facilities’ HVAC systems. I lead and performed preventive maintenance on 2 Boilers, 4 Chillers, CHW cooled AHUs, pneumatic DDC, VAVs and PIUs, 2 cooling towers, 2 steam heat exchangers and various other mechanical equipment. I was responsible for leading the preventive maintenance on a tenant’s Data Center maintaining their System 3 liebert CRAH units. I worked with Carrier’s CCN systems, configuring and creating GUI trends to assist facility engineers to access various systems and equipment. I created a network of computers to access the CCN system in various areas of the facility on each floor. The Carrier CCN system controlled all environmental systems including lighting and chemical feed systems to boilers and condenser water circuit. I assisted our CCN contractor in writing chiller plant programs using best++ and C++ programming languages. I was responsible for ordering products and supplies, as well as contacting venders and contractors for various services. I maintained files and records for financial and equipment service proposes and required facility inspections. My job also consisted of public relations in dealing with tenants’ concerns and needs related to the facility and the Corporate Support Operation’s needs. Knowledge of pneumatics, electronics, high and low voltage systems, generators and switchgear systems, mechanical and hydraulic systems, schematics, blueprints and refrigerant circuits and processes were required.

I subcontracted repairs of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and structural conditions of commercial and residential facilities. I was involved in renovations and remodeling of commercial and residential HVAC systems and repairs. I provided general maintenance and repair of commercial and residential properties. I acted as Project Manager for the installation of the condenser cooled Liebert CRAH units installed into a newly constructed commercial communications data center and assisted in Providing Commercial Services for Carolina Commercial HVAC Co.

I conducted monthly inspections of lighting, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, structural and security systems of Bank of America, First Citizen, Wachovia, BB&T and Advanced Auto facilities. I performed preventive maintenance, service and repair of the above mentioned areas, as well as purchasing and maintaining an inventory of parts and supplies pertinent to the facilities and budgets. I contracted the use of subcontractors for extensive repairs to these facilities. I was responsible for 64 to 80 sites during my employment, ranging from Rock Hill to Statesville and from Charlotte to Asheboro.

I performed service, preventive maintenance, and repairs of residential and commercial HVAC systems. My responsibilities included start-ups of new commercial and residential applications. I performed maintenance and repair of heat pumps, gas furnaces, oil furnaces, unit heaters and ACs, gas package units as well as split systems and rooftop units and commercial liquid cooled systems. I sold annual service contracts to residential and commercial clients. I maintained an inventory of parts and supplies for commercial and residential HVAC systems. I performed refrigerant recovery, reclaim and recycle of refrigerant to facilitate line repair, and replacement of compressors, and refrigerant line components. I performed trouble shooting and repairs of electrical and electronic components, and controls.

I supervised and performed maintenance on two apartment communities. My duties included supervising the maintenance staff at both facilities, general maintenance, HVAC service and repair, plumbing and electrical repair, maintaining two swimming pools, supervising lawn care personnel, and lock and turn- key security for both properties. I ordered products and supplies pertinent to the maintenance budgets of each property and maintained preventative and service records applicable to both facilities.

I entered the US Army as a combat medic and later continued my military education in the medical field as an LPN. I worked in various areas of the medical field, which included attachments to Artillery, Air Assault, Airborne, mechanized units, Troop Medical Clinics and Expert Field Medical Teams etc. During my service I was an instructor and trained Special Forces in Combat Lifesaver Courses. I was also a CPR Instructor and as an NCO, I trained new recruits in proficiencies of medical care duties. I was an Honor Graduate of Non-Commissioned Officer Primary Leadership Development School. During my Military Service I received the following: Army Service Ribbon, Driver Badge, Army Good Conduct Metal, Army Achievement Medal 2 Awards, National Defense Service Medal, (earned during the first gulf war) Expert M16 rifle Badge, Expert Hand Grenade Badge, and Honorable Discharges associated with each term served. DD 214 available. I am now a disabled American Army Veteran and proud that I had the privilege and opportunity to serve my country.
