Six years active duty as a naval officer in the Supply Corps (USS SAVAGE DER-386) and Civil Engineer Corps (NAS Lemoore, Siskiyou County Airport, Vietnam). Twenty years experience in manufacturing and materials management for six Silicon Valley manufacturing companies.As Director of Corporate Quality, contributed to the dramatic turnaround of Varian Associates, a Fortune 500 Silicon Valley high-tech manufacturing pioneer, and promoted Performance Excellence at Synopsys, a prominent EDA software firm. Served for six terms on the Board of Examiners for the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award (1992-1996 and 2001).Retired from corporate management in 2001. Continuing to do consulting work in the area of quality management systems.Have become increasingly active in photographing groups and individuals at their special life events, including weddings, family gatherings, birthdays, and anniversaries, as well as candid and posed portraits.
