I work with internal colleagues to help us "give practical effect to Te Tiriti"

I am helping develop Te Kura-i-Huna (a virtual kura).I am on a fauxcondment to Ngaa Rauru - 2 days a week plus evenings etc.A fauxcondment is like a secondment but without the paperwork.A Digital Strategist in this case is really just a Kaitautoko (but the form stopped me using Te Reo). This is Iwi-led co-design: Ngaa Rauru decides, I help out.This is the most fulfilling role I have had since I left pre-service teacher education. Mauri ora!

Hopped over for 3 days a week to work with ngā hoamahi i te rōpū Te Tuarongo.Focused on Te Kura i Huna and its links to other kaupapa Māori education initiatives.

My official title is so generic as to be less accurate. This term was gifted to me by a senior colleague as she did a straight to camera piece for a video pitch to our Dep Sec.

Update:Our MVP - Cambio - is a service model for a brokerage service to ensure that "outcomes" rather than requirements are the focus of pre-tendering engagements with suppliers. Our model also offers facilitation of bake-offs, protoyping and hackathons. We will then build, test and iterate ... until demo day in early July. Making sure that NZ learners, their whānau and communities get a curriculum that makes the best possible use of digital technologies.

I am working with talented colleagues to lift awareness and uptake of digital learning and teaching practices. The Network for Learning (N4L) has huge potential to provide access to the kinds of digital resources that can transform teaching and learning. I intend that my work on research and evaluation design, and with Māori stakeholders will help ensure benefits for all learners and their whānau.This is a great role, with a spectacular team. Developing a research programme to inform e-learning decison-making in Minedu and to provide useful and accessible research for NZ educators and education leaders.

Working with pre-service teachers in a lecturing role (pedagogy, collegiality, asessment, reflective practice etc).Advising in-service professionals (assessment of student learning, pedagogy).

Established the English Assessment Resource Bank (ARB), contributed to math and science ARB development.Developed a self assessment tool for Essential Skills.Evaluated Arts-online Professional Development.
