In my current role of Director, Logistics & Distribution:I am responsible for developing and directing execution of day-to-day operational processes for key clients, including Aerus – Electrolux, Tri-Star, Aerus Environmental Services, Allergy Buyers Group, The Pure Company, Vollara, and ActivTek. I am overseeing logistics operations, warehouse inventory, and employees in three countries with over 400 franchises, 200 distributors, as well as e-commerce and international customers aimed at improving efficiency and productivity. I am leading and training team/staff members for consistently meeting and exceeding assigned objectives, while evaluating performance to recommend improvement strategies. I am also organizing meetings with leadership team and participate in decision-making processes by recommending strategic improvement initiatives.Below are some of my Key Achievements in this role:Combine three distributions to a centralized distribution center during an extremely large company growth period. Reduced 50% in carrier spending and saved $1.07M for company in 12 months by creating and negotiating contracts with carriers, while sourcing carriers with best customer service and quality levels. Improved shipping capacity from 400 to 4,000 orders/day by deploying new processes, equipment, and software in collaboration with IT department and training staff for efficient utilization within 30-days. Secured refund of $36K additional customs charges from USCBP by identifying coding error from vendor and rectifying items coding to Hong Kong instead of China.

In my previous role of Manager, Global Logistics:I established and implemented standard and emergency processes for receiving, handling, storage and distribution of goods/materials in close collaboration with RVPs, VPs, President, and CEO of logistics operations, while maintaining strict compliance with organizational standards. I led and guided team members for executing global inbound and outbound freight operations, including air, sea, and land freight. I identified, interviewed, and sourced carriers, as well as created and negotiated contracts to secure cost-effective terms/conditions. I oversaw all freight claims and analyzed/prepared customs documentation. I determined key metrics to review efficiency, reliability, claims management, and costs of carriers.Below were some of my Key Achievements in this role:Generated refund of $41.8K from UPS by identifying unrecognizable charges on UPS Sure Post account. Recovered $11K from vendor against extra shipping charges, while reviewing all accounts and uncovering potential fraudulent activity.Received promotion as “Director, Logistics & Distribution” in recognition of going above and beyond expectations and ability to excel in role of higher responsibility.

In my role of Department Lead, Outbound Logistics:I facilitated business objectives of management and spearheaded continuous improvement projects of outbound logistics processes with keen focus on improving efficiency and reducing costs. I managed and trained team of 27 reports for executing business critical tasks, such as product picking, order processing, shipping labels/documents creation, and trailer/ocean container loading procedures. I organized team meetings to communicate new processes, resolve issues, and enhance knowledge of security/safety procedures. I analyzed shipping performance data to craft orders status and carrier capacity reports. I coordinated pickup of complete goods with carriers and freight forwarders, including live/pre-loads, returns, and special/internet orders through email, SAP and other systems. I collaborated with SAP team and integrated TMS into SAP for generating instant tracking data for TL and LTL orders.Below were some of my Key Achievement in this role:Increased order processing from 10 to 35 LTL trailer loads per day by reducing label processing time, while working with limited manpower and equipment and implementing best practices.Accomplished savings of over $100K per annum for company by analyzing existing processes and implementing strategic enhancements and eliminating duplicate shipments. Maintained, updated, and processed deliveries/shipments of up to 1400 export and domestic orders by collaborating with sales and order fulfillment departments on daily basis.
