Urbact Lead And Ad Hoc ExpertUrbact Sep 2019 - PresentParis, Île-De-France, FranceI am in the URBACT pool of experts as an approved Lead Expert for URBACT networks, as well as for ad hoc and programme-level missions to support the URBACT programme's work in supporting integrated approaches to sustainable urban development in Europe.My first Ad Hoc Expert mission was in 2022, when I was appointed by the 'BeePathNet Reloaded' Transfer Network (2nd generation) to support their planning and preparations for their post-URBACT life as the new Bee Path Cities network.I also led two studies into the Integrated Action Plans (IAPs) developed by URBACT cities in the two rounds of Action Planning Networks which concluded in 2018 & 2022. On this basis, I helped update the guidance provided to cities, including a new and more detailed breakdown of the concept of integration in an urban development context and a more iterative approach to IAP development.In 2022, I was selected as co-moderator of the URBACT City Festival 2022 - a truly inspiring event bringing together cities and experts to exchange and learn from across Europe. -

I was a member of the internal Task Force that prepared and delivered the major transnational exchange event, the 2018 URBACT City Festival in Lisbon (Sep 2018). I was also responsible for maintaining and developing certain key strategic partnerships for URBACT. The URBACT III programme aims to foster sustainable integrated urban development by enabling cities to work together in networks to learn from one another’s experiences, draw lessons and identify good practices. It is an instrument of EU Cohesion Policy, co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund, the 28 Member States, Norway & Switzerland. -
