I began my electronics career when I enlisted in the Air Force in 1972. Attending Electronic schools and training then specialized in Aircraft Navigation and Radar systems. During my 10 years active service I worked both flight line and Avionics shops in the US, Asia, Europe and Alaska. During my time in the Air Force I attended the Community College of the Air Force getting an Associates Degree in Electronics. I continued my education through Devry Schools and the University of Maryland. Fascinated with Satellite Communications I attended the first Private Satellite Television Conferences in 1980 where I was able to share ideas and technologies with many of the original founders of the consumer (C-Band) satellite TVRO industry. I left the Air Force in 1982 and was a co-founder of MTI (Pentec/MTI) in Salt Lake City UT.
