I am energized by the opportunity to grow the JUMPSTART Prison Ministry in NC, GA, OH, FL (and TX in 2025). JUMPSTART USA exists to reach more men and women by implementing our proven, successful model elsewhere in the United States and eventually, beyond. We will grow where God leads as He opens doors and raises up people willing to serve and support our mission.JUMPSTART started in South Carolina in 2008 and is driven to break the back of recidivism. Today, JUMPSTART South Carolina operates inside 19 of South Carolina’s 21 state prisons; and runs a robust transitional program. The organization has demonstrated that participants who complete the program have a staggering 4% recidivism, or stated in the positive, a 96% success rate. JUMPSTART is developing the preeminent model for transitioning those formerly incarcerated into productive citizens. When this happens, there can be an amazing ripple effect to restore families and change the future for children of our participants. I believe strongly that successful, profitable businesses positively affect families and communities – and therefore, should not be taken for granted. They can play a vital role in second chances. Joined the West Virginia Chamber team in July of 2021. The newest challenge I have accepted is as a strategic advisor to the West Virginia Chamber. The organization is solid but not complacent. I intend to draw on my experience in the state chamber world and as a former entrepreneur.
