Working within the Projects team, Ed is responsible for the implementation of project management systems and controls that are required to support the effective execution of Pacific Bio's projects and acquisitions, including the Pacific Reef Fisheries Prawn Farms in Ayr and Guthalungra and the Alva Beach Algal Facility which includes the Reef Asta™ and Regen Aqua™ projects. .

Ed Ung is the Production Supervisor of Pacific Biotechnologies.Ed holds a BSc in Aquaculture and an MBA both from James Cook University and in 2014 he completed a Certificate IV in WH&S at the National Safety Council Australia in Townsville. Ed was R&D Site Manager PacificBio (formally MBD Industries) from 2012 to 2018. In 2012 he was appointed R&D Site Manager responsible for managing technical staff conducting maintenance and operation of aquaculture research plant and equipment including laboratories and large-scale production infrastructure to facilitate the timely delivery of research milestones within budget. He was also responsible for managing special projects, including stakeholder consultation, design, and construction for new research infrastructure and upgrades.In 2018, he was appointed Production Supervisor responsible for overseeing the upscaling of biomass. He navigated cultivation challenges to lead the operational team to deliver the first commercial quantity of Haematococcus produced in Australia for Astaxanthin extraction and encapsulation.
