Start up operation for Swift Transportation at the new Family Dollar Warehouse in Saint George, UT. Responsible for transportation needs of outbound freight, establishing a core group of drivers and office staff. Focus on safety, customers service, and financials.

Working closely with the JCPenney management to ensure on time delivery to their stores within the Pacific Northwest. Currently managing all onsite duties: planning, forecasting and cost management. Overseeing an onsite staff, safety campaigns and maintenance issues for tractors and trailers assigned to the fleet. Managing human resource and resolving driver issues.

Managed a group of fifty students and overseeing their training and handling all their problems on a day-to-day basis for their first six-weeks of employment. Assisting with new driver orientation and safety issues within the Sumner Terminal.

Managed a team of thirty drivers for a dedicated account. Assisted with the planning of deliveries and scheduling appointments. Coordinating with higher management of the customer and distribution center to resolve any delivery issues. End-user of the BAAN Software Enterprise Resource Planning Application (ERP). Managed a range of parts that were manufactured on site. Procured materials, other necessary components, and various details to build parts. Releasing shop floor controls and purchase orders based on Just-In-Time (JIT) schedule. Assisted with shop managers in regards to capacity issues and scheduling conflicts. Obtained completion dates and negotiated shipping schedules with customers.

Interviewing customers, claimants, witnesses and law enforcement to obtain accurate details to auto accidents. Ability to effectively communicate, negotiate and problem solve settlements when necessary. Documentation in files with precise detail in case a lawsuit evolved. Assisted with the development of a team building conference for over three hundred claim representatives and processors.

Assisted with implementation of BAAN Software ERP Application. Major duties included procurement coding data from previous software to the new ERP Application, trouble shooting incorrect demand on daily release sheets, and train coworkers. Attended implementation meetings for the conversion of BAAN Version 4 to BAAN Version 5, create strategies to make roles more efficient within the company. Tested and trouble shot new software in the attempt to resolve any errors before implementation. Additionally, managed a range of parts as an end-user to the system and took on additional independent projects.
