The UI used AJAX design techniques and Javascript in addition to traditional servlets on the back end. Responsibilities also include extensive coding of PL/SQL stored procedures used by the application to move and transform data, as well as to perform complex data calculations for a reporting database.Designed and developed a Java Standalone and Web service application for calculation of several clinical measures for Quality Improvement initiatives sponsored by CMS and JCAHO. Led a small team of developers in designing and developing a Health Care clinical data collection tool used to collect and clean data for a data warehousing application. Projects included interfaces between Windows based and Unix based applications. This included extensive performance tuning experience while porting an application from Power Builder to C/C++.Mentoring a team of Junior developers with regards to industry best practices, application tuning, SQL tuning, and software design patterns.
