As a leader in the IT security and software quality industries, I have run global divisions of publicly traded corporations, taken a university startup to a globally recognized brand, and held senior management positions at Rational Software, Lionbridge, and MathSoft. I am a lifelong technology enthusiast whose love of engineering and liberal arts helped me forge a career in cybersecurity. I am passionate about advancing the cybersecurity workforce and education. I proudly serves Cyversity, a nonprofit organization that promotes diversity and inclusion in the field. For 15 years, I was a Privacy by Design ambassador for Canada and a Distinguished Research Fellow for the Ponemon Institute. No stranger to the podium, I have presented at numerous industry conferences including RSA, BlackHat, InfoSec World, PCI, OWASP, and others. I created www.EdTALKS.io, an online talk show where I interview cybersecurity experts on best practices and emerging trends.I earned degrees in mechanical engineering and English Literature at the University of Massachusetts prior to receiving an MBA with honors from Boston College. My wife and I are both proud “Bay Staters" who enjoy traveling the world together and are fitness fiends; however, most of all, we love spending time with our large, extended family and friends.
