I help fiduciaries and investors direct their capital to projects that yield social and environmental returns, and support investment managers to execute their proxy voting and engagement strategies. Together, we're funding the solidarity economy.By taking a big-picture, interdisciplinary approach to problem-solving, I want to address questions like: "how is long-term risk managed?" "how do institutions learn from past crises?" "what does sustainable economic growth look like?" and "how do real resource constraints inform both fiscal planning and capital strategies?" I'm interested in changing the role that finance plays in allocating resources to address critical problems, considering the monumental challenges we face, and how a more complete accounting of risk and opportunity can inform better decisions.I believe mission-driven finance can be transformative, whether it's impact investing in private companies or social enterprises, socially-responsible investment in public equities, or catalytic philanthropy. My goal is to nurture these practices as they have gained adoption within the financial industry and investor/donor community. I care deeply about corporate governance, and am looking to get involved with organizations that prioritize sustainability, economic justice, workplace democracy, and community development.
