CurrentAs the Vice President, Digital Product Strategy at AssetMark, one of the largest asset management firms serving independent financial advisors, I define and execute the multi-year product roadmap for the digital client experience of our financial advisor and investor users across all our digital properties. To ensure organization commitment, I build business cases and obtain funding from executive leadership for each initiative on the roadmap. Then directing the efforts of a cross-functional delivery team, I oversee the creation of user epics, user stories and determine the minimal viable product (MVP) feature sets for the launch of new digital solutions and the ongoing grooming of each product’s backlog so these solutions are continuously improved post-launch. Collaborating closely with the senior software architects and lead software engineers, I am accountable for the design of our iteration plans and the creation of development and testing tasks for several multi-million dollar web and mobile app initiatives. These products include an iPad App to support business development and marketing efforts of our clients and field sales force, a re-factored mobile-first investor portal, and a responsively designed digital advice solution (aka robo-advisor) for our financial advisor clients. Additionally, I launched a Web-based comprehensive portfolio performance analytics and insights solution as well as a business assessment and valuation tool for our financial advisor clients.
