Edward Barisa is currently Chief Executive Officer of the Ontario Real Estate Association. OREA represents over 51,000 real estate professionals and 42 real estate boards. Its mission is to help ontario REALTORS®, member boards and associations succeed.He is past Chair of the Association Executives Council of the Canadian Real Estate Association (CREA) and has completed a term on the CREA Board of Directors.Ed is the Chair of the Canadian Society of Association Executives Board of Directors, and has been a member of CSAE for over 20 years. He was awarded the CSAE Pinnacle Award in 2007 and in 2008 won the Chapter Service Excellence Award from the CSAE Trillium Chapter.Prior to joining OREA, Ed has served as Executive Director of the Canadian Chiropractic Association, the World University Service of Canada, the Canadian Bar Association and the Intergovernmental Committee on Urban and Regional Research.Barisa has degrees from L'Universite de Montreal and McGill University, is an active member of the Canadian Society of Association Executives, and holds the CAE designation.Specialties: Association Management, Strategic Planning, Board Governance.
