  • Institut Pasteur Korea
    Senior Scientist
Institut Pasteur Korea Mar 2011 - Oct 2013
    Seoul, South Korea
Responsible for the development of algorithms for the analysis of the high density printed microarrays. Through reverse transfection a genome-wide visual analysis of RNAi knock downs on live cellular phenotypes can be made. Algorithm development range from the detection of spots (3888 spots on 5 slides covering the whole human genome), through the image processing algorithms extracting characteristic features, to the algorithms doing the final statistical analysis aiming at identifying genes involved in certain processes. In IPK we have developed two technologies: Phenomic TargetDeconvolution(TM), identifying the target of an active compound (potential new drug) and Phenomic TargetIdentification(TM) where genes are identified if involved in an infection process.
  • Institut Pasteur Korea
    Scientist
Institut Pasteur Korea Apr 2009 - Mar 2011
    Seoul, South Korea
Design of image processing algorithms and software dedicated for the discovery and quantification of biological phenomena. Applications are related to High-Content and High-Throughput screening (HTS and HCS) on disease models for drug discovery and basic research. Statistical (multivariate-) data analysis and data mining of descriptors, quantifying the effect- and the discovery of new drugs.
  • Mycolomics Aps
    Co-Founder
    Mycolomics Aps 2008 - Nov 2010
    Copenhagen Area, Denmark
One of the main missions of the company is to help big pharma with de-replication (identifying already known compounds) of natural products. Through analytical chemistry and by developed algorithms databases are created with fingerprints of kown compounds based on various analytical characteristics. In this way they can be re-identified in future extracts and hereby help focusing on novel compounds. The company was founded together with three colleagues.

Exploration and statistical analysis of multi-spectral images and chromatographic data (ESI-MS, GC/MS, LC/MS and LC/UV-DAD) and 1D/2D NMR. Development of algorithms and feature extraction methods applied to raw instrumental data in order to increase the sensitivity of the following multivariate statistical analysis. Modeling of related information (e.g. phenotype or genotype) to features extracted from the chemical profiles. The systems targeted are primarily the metabolism of fungi and yeast (and mutants hereof), but could be of any origin.PUBLICATION STATISTICS (Source: Thomson Retuters): http://www.researcherid.com/rid/C-9028-2011
