As a member of the hotel’s Executive Team my responsibilities include initiating, planning, directing and managing the implementation of the hotel’s sales and marketing strategy with the aim of exceeding revenue targets via all possible channels. Notwithstanding a highly competitive marketplace coupled with an ever challenging economic environment, the sales team has consistently surpassed revenue goals substantially.

Focused on revenue generation - main activities and responsibilities included sales management; revenue maximization; contract negotiation; measuring conversion and other KPIs, ensuring the accuracy of forecasting of revenues, recruiting, directed, managed, trained and counselled the sales team; responsible for managing the department P&L.

Focused on the sales of international meetings, incentives and conferences for the hotel; Directly responsible for the following markets: Italy, France, Spain Portugal and Eastern Europe well as top local Destination Management Companies; The role involved active regular overseas and local sales calls including budgeting, planning and execution, follow ups, mailings, attending international trade fairs, relationship building, negotiating and execution of agreements so as to achieve room revenue figures in this segment which represented 35% of hotel revenue. Successes: Achieved over 125% of target during 2004 and 2005 and consequently was awarded as part of Starwood’s Worldwide Sales Incentive program. I also formed part of a support team to the opening team of the Le Meridien Lav in Split Croatia a new conference resort in December 2006.
