I also represent providers in NICA administrative proceedings regarding birth-related neurological injuries. I provide advice and counsel to health care providers on risk management and related issues.I have served as lead counsel in numerous appeals, with full responsibility for briefing, motion practice, and oral argument. Notable wins include: reversal of a class certification order in a major hospital billing case; affirmance of an order compelling a signatory to an arbitration agreement to arbitrate claims against a non-signatory; and circuit court rejection of a special master report and recommendation that threatened to cripple my client's business operation, followed by obtaining affirmance of that order on appeal.I have tried multiple cases as lead trial counsel, winning a defense verdict in a medical malpractice case in which the plaintiff asked the jury to award $50 million.
