Ed is the Head of Compliance at Siemens Digital Industries Software, a Siemens AG business. In this role, Ed leads a team responsible for execution of the Siemens Compliance System across the global DI SW organization. The Siemens Compliance System enables Siemens businesses through a culture of integrity, ethical conduct, diversity, equality, inclusion and in compliance with laws and company policies. to operate in compliance with legal, regulatory requirements in areas including anticorruption, antitrust, export control, human rights, data privacy and more and support the company’s strong culture of integrity. Prior to Siemens Digital Industries Software, Ed led the Ethics and Compliance Program for Avanade, a Microsoft and Accenture JV.Ed was previously the Director of Ethics and Business Conduct for The Boeing Company, where he worked for over twenty years and contributed to the design and led the company’s Ethics and Business Conduct Pogram.Ed currently serves as the Immediate Past Chair of the Association for Practical and Professional Ethics (APPE). He also participates on advisory boards and similar roles with ethics focused non-profit organizations including the Ethics and Compliance Initiative (ECI), the National Academy of Engineering (NAE) and others. Ed is a past Board Member of ECI and past Commissioner with the Seattle Ethics and Elections Commission. Ed participates in regional Ethics and Compliance forums including the Northwest Ethics Network (NWEN) and the Dallas Fort Worth Ethics and Compliance Group. Ed is an alumni (Class of 95) of the Seattle Leadership Tomorrow Program. Ed earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a master’s of science degree in finance from Seattle University and completed a one year Executive Leadership Program at the University of Notre Dame.
