Athletes, instructors, and leaders share common attributes. They think strategically, communicate effectively, and demonstrate their commitment to their sport, organization, and passion. As a teaching and playing professional, I'm committed to making sure that everyone I teach is inspired to be a better player and continues to enjoy the game. As the Wilmington Country Club's Assistant Racquets Director, I'm keenly focused on creating great experiences for our club members and ensuring that our offerings match their interests. We've recently expanded our racquet sports to include pickleball, currently the fastest growing sport in the U.S., according to the Sport & Fitness Industry Association. More courts, state-of-the-art facilities, a new pro shop create a more vibrant club that provides more member options and benefits. As part of the team to bring these new initiatives to fruition, I see and hear members' positive reactions to our investments. I enjoy bringing people together and building long-standing relationships with colleagues, members, and fellow players and thinking about how social and sports-related activities contribute to people's well-being. This is why I serve as the president and co-founder of the Delaware State Squash Association and the founder and board member of Urban Squash Program First State Squash. These initiatives give me the chance to serve the greater Wilmington community and introduce racquet sports to a wider audience. When we connect education, athletics and mentoring together, we help others reach their personal potential. I've been an active part of the local community for more than 30 years and have participated in racquet sports for most of my life. Both have added tremendously to my life professionally and personally. I look forward to connecting with you.
