We are a Training company, not an educational institute. I used to struggle with explaining the difference, usually coming up with some long-winded way of describing the differences - until I came upon this perfectly succinct description (I wish I knew the original author so I could credit her or him):“If your sixteen year-old daughter told you that she was going to take a sex education course at high school, you might be pleased. What if she announced she was going to take part in some sex training at school?”Here is how that translates to our Career training programs:* Critical Hands-On Training. We know from employers that graduates from traditional computer science or IT programs simply do not have the functional skills necessary for the real world, and usually require more hands-on training. Our concentration is on focused, immersive training, providing critical hands-on training.* Competency-based. Our programs are competency based, focused on learning concrete skills, rather than abstract learning. Programs have BOTH Learner-based (knowledge and skills) AND Test-based (certification) objectives.* Learner-focused. Modern training must engage and accommodate multiple learning styles and learner preferences. Training must also include learning how to learn and to research independently.Innovative Program Design. Training must be flexible enough to adopt innovative new technologies, blended learning environments and non-traditional curriculum. Our instructors take on the role of facilitator, not mere presenter.* Job Focused. Training should be focused on needs of the workplace with an overall program focused on jobs not theory. Have we perfected our processes yet? Of course not! We stumble at times – but we own our mistakes and learn from them, and we are constantly striving to do better.

The only company selected to provide 2 separate programs: an entry level IT Help Desk Job Training Program and an intermediate level Network Support Engineer in partnership with F5 Networks. Both programs included partnerships with corporations, government agencies and nonprofits in actively providing career placement services for graduates of each program.2017: Partnered with Apprenti to provide training for the Registered Apprenticeship program for roles as Network Security Administrator, Database Administrator, IT Generalist, and Junior BI Analyst.Created and ran first Apprenti cohort for Cloud Support Associates at Amazon Web Services, followed by a Microsoft cohort for Software Development Engineers, and currently running a cohort for Network Development Engineers for Amazon. -
