- Member of plant leadership team; reporting directly to Plant Superintendent- Supervise and coordinate all plant maintenance personnel toward an effective and efficient low cost plant operation- Design, implement and maintain preventive as well as predictive maintenance programs- Oversee full wastewater treatment systems- Prepare and administer budgets within established guidelines to maintain and repair building and equipment- Manage processes and equipment to meet state & federal compliance requirements i.e. – air permits, WWT discharge permits, OHSA safety standards, etc.- Maintain plant quality performance standards- Facilitate communication and problem resolution with plant Electricians and PLC programmers- Responsible for all of the engineering department safety related matters- Plan and Oversee Capital Expenditure items including: equipment purchases, contracted or in-house labor, construction, and fabrication projects- Provide on/off-hour emergency response including; equipment repair and assignment of support personnel as needed- Facilitates and supports EHS programs such as hazardous waste disposal programs- Provides necessary training to new and existing employees- Stay abreast of technological changes-retrofitting machinery to meet today’s new laws & efficiency standards- As always, perform other job-related duties as required or assigned

- Responsible for managing capital projects on time and budget according to client standards and those of the applicable regulatory authorities; including a key strategic project ($5M) to be delivered in 2020- Direct activities of contract groups; manage information flow between key stakeholders, contract groups, and the sites staff; lead meetings with key stakeholders including peers and senior personnel as required; balancing multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of integrity- Engage all necessary departments to ensure all projects comply with operational safety, process safety, environmental permits, quality policies, procedures and training requirements- Clearly define project objectives, map out construction and procurement strategies, identify resources necessary for project completion; and develop costs and schedules to ensure flawless execution of project requirements and goals- Ensure compliance with legal constraints, international standards and corporate regulations and governance (cGMP, FDA, NIH, OSHA). - Ensure appropriate application of client engineering standards and guidelines to achieve desired project outcomes- Prepare investment, engineering and restructuring projects in collaboration with external contractors; manage capital budget and coordinate resources to achieve desired outcome- Implement designs and specifications to maintain standardization of equipment, optimize preventative maintenance programs, follow written procedures, and document results in a neat and precise manner- Employ prior experience in the design regulations for pharmaceutical/food manufacturing validation to meet FDA requirements; as well as cGMP compliance, EHS standards and NIH guidelines- Manage personnel training through project commissioning and execute hand over to Technical and Operation Teams- Meet timelines in an atmosphere of constant change with detailed accuracy; working in a complex matrix/multidisciplinary environment

- Report to Vice President of Operations- Plan, direct, and coordinate maintenance and engineering activities in blending, packaging, and blow molding operations - Responsible for overseeing any modifications and maintenance of production and facility equipment- Manage people and machinery utilizing a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) - Evaluate all production activities and implement solutions to improve the overall efficiency of the processes - Manage multi-million-dollar annual capital budget including preparing requests, developing savings justifications, and drafting equipment specifications - Assist in design, electrical, mechanical, and all aspects of equipment layout in connection with new equipment or rearrangements in facilities - Offer expertise on equipment and machinery positioning on the factory floor to maximize production levels - Collaborate with senior management team on a regular basis to improve manufacturing efficiency and reduce costs - Directly supervise a staff of Project Engineers, Maintenance Managers, PLC Programmers, Facility Maintenance personnel, and Plant Security. - Develop a budget and manage financial performance against it for projects/programs managed - Continuous process improvements – Assume responsibility for safety and performance of all personnel, projects and programs managed- Evaluate all production activities and prepare reports for all related activities - Assume responsibility for personal safety and for the safety performance of all personnel, projects and programs managed. - Reports to Vice President of Operations

- Manage the project workflow process, including functions such as project planning, project origination, estimating, budgeting, contracting, buyout, construction administration, financial management and project closeout. - Follow EAD’s standards and processes, ensure compliance on each assigned project - Assume responsibility for gross profit margin of project while developing and maintaining client relationships - Interface with clients to determine project requirements, manage client satisfaction, and take immediate action to respond to problems and concerns - Negotiate contracts, subcontracts and purchase orders to assure that all project goals are being addressed - Visit project work sites, clarify scopes of work, and prepare cost estimates and proposals. - Manage and acquire as needed all building permits and other regulatory prerequisites - Evaluate projects for constructability and value-engineer cost savings - Identify potential delays & facilitate solutions; conduct & document project meetings - Manage project costs to ensure budgets are maintained, document and manage changes in the work to ensure the interests of all stakeholders in the project are reasonably met - Determine & implement the appropriate level of project control (i.e.: submittal logs, change orders logs, etc.) - Ensure that all aspects of the project are compliant with all contract terms and legal requirements that govern the project and the community in which the project(s) take place - Document substantial completion and KPI’s; manage the project closeout process to ensure timely completion

- Actively manage $3 million annual CAPEX budget; which includes the application process and spending execution- Plan, budget, and oversee all aspects of projects in the production facility - Implement and enforce contractor safety rules including: LOTO, Hot Work Permits, & OSHA compliance- Advise upper management on options; evaluating budget, and function of various choices - Communicate timelines and set deadlines for projects - Produce proposals and presentations that document cost savings or increase manufacturing capability- Identify and produce proposals related to technology that reduces labor input or otherwise increase efficiency - Establish and maintain contractor relationships; establish required safe work documentation - Develop scope of work documentation; and track spending from start to completion on all capital projects - Work with local maintenance, production, and quality teams identifying opportunities that require capital investment; and produce proposals on that feedback - Advocate for the plant’s investment needs

- Actively manage $1 million annual CAPEX budget; which includes the application process and spending execution. - Manage repair & maintenance budget of $1.3 million. Prioritize spending to meet budgetary goals - I discovered a new material supplier for adhesives. The change saved the plant $30k annually - Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations and their state equivalents regarding proper work environment, chemical storage and usage, and ammonia handling and reporting requirements from these regulatory agencies - Work with contractors to specify scope of capital projects; and monitor until completion. - Ammonia Refrigeration Operator course level 1 Garden City Community College - Kansas - Use SAP daily to channel, process, and execute CMMS, provide daily direction to 10-20 line and refrigeration mechanics daily out of a 40-member team and additional 20-member contractor team - Oversee plant mechanical, electrical, and Ammonia refrigeration contractors; issuing work orders and initiating SAP purchase order system for purchases - Discipline and direct plant maintenance team on repairs, parts ordering, and equipment upgrades daily
