Hey! I was born in Seoul, South Korea, but I always traced my roots to Taiwan. I was lucky enough to be exposed to education in both Korea and Taiwan. Although I always considered myself to be Taiwanese, I eventually fell in love with Korean and Chinese culture, especially the food and history! Currently, I am a high school student attending Seoul International School in Seoul, South Korea. As a child, I always aspired to be someone who could help other families. In order to pursue this dream, I have done several activities in the fields of family science, human development, and law. Since 2020, I have been a member of a mock trial team outside of school. I have gained valuable insights from real-life attorneys and judges about ways to develop my public speaking skills. I have also mentored the growth of my peers on the mock trial team developing their ability to critically think, debate, and write. My experience in mock trial culminated in the Best Attorney and Best Witness awards along with first and second-place team awards in the High School KMTA Mock Trial Summer Tournament hosted by the Korea Mock Trial Association.Along with this valuable experience, I was also fortunate enough to be a part of the Harvard Summer School where I actively participated in two classes: Global Digital Law and Politics and Propaganda Past and Present. With the guidance of exceptional professors, I learned life-long lessons that helped me advocate for the people I care about.At school, I am also the President of the Amnesty International club where I am passionately initiating new activities such as the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) program in hopes of promoting a diverse local school community. My experience in Amnesty International continues to inspire my journey toward becoming a family lawyer.In my free time, I am an avid tennis and badminton player always seeking competition. I also enjoy designing and creating new artwork which is why I am the Editor-in-Chief of the Yearbook! As an owner of ten dogs and one cat, I love interacting with animals.
