I am a 21-year-old graduate of the University of Galway, specialising in History and English. I have a love for literature, theatre, and the Irish language. I enjoy working with and helping people where I can, and I have exceptional organizational skills, time-management, and customer service skills.I volunteered to raise money for the Special Olympics. I won the "Student of The Year" award in the school year 2017/2018. In my time at the university I have worked in a fast food restaurant for two and a half years. In the University of Galway, I helped organise and run a food bank. I have served as Class Representative for my course year. I joined a University Society as their Vice-Secretary. I completed the Leaving Certificate in 2020. I achieved full attendance throughout my six years in secondary school. I wrote a poem to commemorate the 1916 centenary, which I presented at the school centenary event. I had a role in the school musical in 2018. I was a school prefect during my Leaving Cert year, meaning that I was assisting and offering guidance to First Year students in need of help.Throughout my time in work, I have developed organizational skills, with a focus on order, tidiness, and efficiency. Working in a marketplace and in a restaurant has taught me how to best interact with customers, in order to meet their needs and satisfy them. I'm more than familiar with the correct procedures in money handling and exchange. I know how to upsell and fully inform the customers who come to me for information or produce. On the side of food, I am experienced with the correct hygiene procedures needed for cooking and serving. In my time in Supermacs, As Class Representative I have educated myself on the workings of the Students Union, have attended Student Council and voiced my opinions in the proceedings. I have paid attention to the shortcomings of the college and have succeeded in agitating for minor changes, such as the release of then-unprovided grades for past modules. As Vice-Secretary of the Art Society in University of Galway, I have become skilled in record-keeping, whether that relates to archival sources or minutes-taking. I have helped organise events by meeting with other bodies and making agreements, and have been present for the running of the vast majority of such events.
