Maybe some can relate to coming to a CROSSROAD in your life that will determine your path.I wrote this song in 1979 yes 40 years ago when I was faced with a choice between my career and a family that I had became a part of . As time went by I was to be married to a beautiful member of that family. The date was set ' plans were made, wedding gowns and cakes set in place. Weeks before the wedding I left in the middle of the night leaving a note about my leaving. I can only imagine even now the hurt and disappointment I caused that loving family. I went just outside of Atlanta to someone who befriended me that noticed the state of my spirit. I was there for maybe 2 weeks thinking about my decision. Powered by a quote my father who tell me whenever I was faced with a challenge. { IF IT CAN BE DONE YOU CAN DO IT } growing up my father would say that to me over and over. I went back to face that family not with my head hanging down but as a man standing up to taking on a family on my Quest. I didn't change my mind about reaching my goals in music. I (THOUGHT) that I could do both. 40 years later i find myself at the same crossroad. My married ended because It was as I knew . BEFORE A MAN TAKE A WIFE HE SHOULD BE ABLE SUPPLY ALL THAT IS REQUIRED . AMONG friends and family she's the wing beneath my wing along with ANGELS that I call sister and a praying MOTHER i'm taking advantage of the internet that wasn't available years ago to get my music heard. My decision to go back and except the responsibility of a family while continuing my career has been an awesome challenging journey. I HOPE YOU ENJOY MY STORY IN SONG.
