I have over 5 years of experience leading the Loss Prevention Team at The Grand Hotel Golf Resort and Spa. I am responsible for the selection, training and scheduling of our Loss Prevention Officers. I have created a talented team of professionals with a remarkable retention rate. Our Associate Engagement Surveys have steadily increased more than 50% over the past six years. I have implemented and lead the hotel’s Safety Committee for the past six years during which time we have increased the Safety Culture of our Resort. The result of our efforts has been an approximate 75% reduction in associate injuries in the past six years. This has been a collaborative effort throughout our Resort due to increased training on Safe work practices combined with an increased awareness to Safety. I am certified in Basic First Aid and CPR. I am also responsible for ensuring that all of my staff are Basic First Aid and CPR certified, as well as 10% of our Resort Staff. I am responsible for maintaining and updating the Hotel Emergency Plan and the Hurricane Emergency Plan. I work closely with the Resorts leadership team to prepare and monitor for upcoming storms and communicating effectively to our associates and guests. I ensure that competent and comprehensive investigations are conducted on all work-related accidents and incidents including guest and employee loss. My 30 years of previous law enforcement experience, many of which were in Investigations, have proven invaluable to my success as the Director of Loss Prevention at The Grand Hotel Golf Resort and Spa. I maintain strong relationships with our local law enforcement community to ensure necessary assistance and cooperation in sensitive matters. I also work closely with the Security Details for government officials and celebrities to ensure privacy and safety for all are met at the highest level, while maintaining confidentiality. I manage the Resorts Lost and Found program, as well as the Shipping and Receiving Department.
