Eddie's Company Inc. was started in 1972 and includes Eddie's Men Store, Ruth Wardrobe Inc. (a South Carolina based retail clothing store), Eddie's Furniture Store and E.T.E. Inc. (a real estate corporation). After completing high school in South Carolina, Eddie opened his first store in downtown York at 25 S. George St. In 1974, Eddie and his father opened a second clothing store in his hometown Hampton, South Carolina. That same year Eddie moved his first clothing store from York to Harrisburg in search for a better opportunity. In 1996, Eddie opened Eddie's Furniture Gallery in downtown Harrisburg and in 2000 he purchased a larger facility on South Cameron Street. In 2012 Mr. Ruth started an online store: eddiesclothingstore.com Eddie lives in Susqehanna Township with his wife of over 20 years Thanayi, and has 10 children.
