VALARIS (Formally Ensco) – Houston, Texas 2013 – 2020Rig Asset Manager – Ensco 8506, 8505, Valaris EXL II (V 144) and Joe Douglas (V 118) (2013-2020)Managed four offshore drilling rigs including deep-water semisubmersible’s and jackups as complete assets and all personnel (average of 150) required to maintain the mobile offshore drilling unit. Responsible for Overseeing Projects for Rig Modifications. Appropriate Funds for the same. Initiate Request for Engineering Assistance. Follow up with assigned engineers to insure that the project was approved, the Modification was completed as directed, and that the project was completed within Budget. Monitored Major Expense projects Monthly, and reported same. Monitored capital Expenses as needed, and followed through with Capital projects. Monitored and audited Preventative maintenance to insure PM's were carried out and completed as per Maintenance plan.Kept up to date with Government required upgrades, making sure the processes were in place to comply with the upgrades, as well as appropriating the funds for the project. Worked with the Rig Manager with Day to Day operations and filled in for him whenever he was away. Planned for Yearly Budget, working with the Business unit Asset Manager to get Budget request turned in to upper management for approvals. Working with Finance and Procurement to get Materials as needed for the rig, as well as PO approvals. Working with Procurement to get Equipment repaired and made ready for use when needed. Attended meetings with clients, rig crews and service personnel to plan for Between well Maintenance. Held follow up meetings to assess, how well the Between well maintenance went, recording problem issues, what went well, and how we can better improve our next scheduled Between well maintenance. Visited Vendor facilities to monitor equipment that we had in their facility to insure that it was being properly repaired, preserved, and Kept for ready use.

Maintained capping stack system used for Gulf of Mexico deployment, as required by U.S. regulatory body (BSEE). Oversaw the preservation maintenance on all MWCC equipment.• Managed development and approval maintenance procedures and checklist for equipment periodic preventative maintenance, eliminating potential rig shutdowns.• Carried out testing on capping stacks for the Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement Agency (BSEE), on annual, semi-annual, and special surveys as dictated by the US government.• Assisted in developing the new expanded system and maintenance planning for future equipment. Prepared storage locations for it by conveying the necessary requirements for proper storage and preservation type maintenance on the equipment.• Conducted drills and made equipment ready for a deployment exercises for BSEE, along with Shell Oil Co. acting as the responsible party for the drill.Accomplishments:• Built a Procedure for Functioning and testing the capping equipment to pass US Government regulations, required by the Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement (BSEE).• Set up a facility arrangement within a warehouse to preserve equipment to be made ready in the event of an emergency.• Conducted a drill, along with Shell Oil Company acting as the responsible party, where the Capping stack was made ready, sent to a dock space. Fully tested and made ready to load on a transport vessel. It was then sent out to a test sight and launched to a depth of 7,000 ft. of water. Latched to a Mock well (Suction Pile with Mandrel). Tested with no issues and proved to the Government that a well could be capped. This led to lifting of the Deepwater Moratorium and allowed permits to be issued for further drilling operations.

Worked with Rig Crews to maintain equipment as needed. Worked on Adding Equipment to maintenance program and planning the sequence intervals, for the frequency that the equipment is to be maintained.

Managed the maintenance for a fleet of 20 jack-up rigs in the Northern US Gulf of Mexico and Mexico. Managed a yard in Broussard LA., where spare equipment for the rigs were stored.• Oversaw asset management to ensure rigs had available known good spare parts needed to keep the rigs running for peak performance.• Attended operations meetings daily and ensured rig managers had full assistance in the day-to-day operations and performing tasks as needed to keep the rigs running.• Worked with project team in implementing a new maintenance management program through SAP. This system enhanced continuity between maintenance and finance.• Set up a yard facility in Broussard LA., to store and maintain rig equipment to support rigs with known good spares.

Managed maintenance for a fleet of jack-up rigs and platform rigs in the US Gulf of Mexico and Mexico. Managed a 44-acre yard facility in Houma, LA., with shipping and receiving, inventory management, and asset management. Managed employees in a 30-acre facility in Rosharon Texas, as well as a Yard in Ciudad Del Carmen, Mexico. Led a group of 23 employees onshore.
