A regional housebuilding company based in Dundee, Scotland.I have been involved in construction for over 30 years having joined my father’s business after leaving school to become a Joiner. Initially I specialised in commercial office interiors and I moved over into house building in the early 2000's Initially building large "Grand Design" type houses. InverTay was incorporated in 2013 to deliver much needed family homes. It had long been my ambition to construct new homes that are genuinely affordable to everyone. These homes should not be of a lesser standard, or even small boxes just because they are affordable. Quality, space, and affordability are all easily combined. Through negotiation and steadfast relationships with our suppliers, professional services and subcontractors, we have eliminated greed at all levels of construction. Everyone in our chain will benefit from ongoing quality work for many years ahead, and as a team, all have subscribed to our ethos. This outlook will benefit those who are most important, our customers. Our timber kit manufacturing facility is now up and running and has evolved significantly since its creation. Our UltraKit System is a very fast method of construction which can also include the factory installation of windows into the structure. On our own developments, we can typically erect 2x homes of our 3 bedroom semi-detached range in 1 single day, allowing our follow on trades to commence works sooner. This reduction in overall construction period helps to reduce our development costs. Our new offices and show suite in Dundee is open for business. We have a 180m2 show room to display our premium German door sets distributed for our partner LEBO and will now offer our door sets to the self-build market, and fellow developers.InverTay Homes have supported many charitable events as we aim to make a difference in our community.

I became a director of Forthtay when this company was in contractual and financial stress from a failed development with a housing association in the Edinburgh area. This project was beset by problems from day 1 with poor design information and lack of expertise by the incumbent director and the HA team, leading to a catastrophic collapse of the development. Ongoing legal difficulties and evidence of bullying, fraud, and professional misconduct from the project. We have been pursuing a public enquiry into this specific project and the actions of the organisation involved.Forthtay has only been kept alive in order to ensure facts surrounding this entire project can eventually be made public.
