I have spent four years in the Navy as a Damage Controlman (firefighter). I worked my way from being a maintenance person and working for people more knowledgeable than me to becoming the Work Center Supervisor and subject matter expert, managing 6 personnel. While serving I completed two deployments and a major inspection that put my skills in damage control to the test. I trained over 400 people in Firefighting, Flooding, and Chemical, Biological, and Radiological Defense techniques. I performed maintenance on all shipboard firefighting, emergency breathing air, and CBR defense equipment. I Honorably separated from the Navy in March of 2020. Since then I have worn many hats. I worked as Corporate Security at a major distribution center and performed many tasks concerning the safety, security, and overall well-being of all associates and company assets. I then worked as an Emergency Room Technician in the county hospital where I performed several duties and developed several skills. I performed blood draws, enemas, wound cleansing, EKGs, and CPR frequently. I also monitored the safety and well being of psychiatric and intoxicated or otherwise impaired patients as well. I am currently a Loss Prevention Administrador at a 2.5 million square foot distribution center. I monitor the safety and well being of associates in a day to day basis while also protecting all company assets. I perform duties such as monitoring associates in person and or CCTV, bag checks, injury response and reports, equipment accident response and reports. I perform post accident and reasonable suspicion drug and alcohol screenings. I perform Fire, safety, and security audits. I also conduct investigations into theft and violations of company policy, threats to company assets or associates. I am very pleased with my job however I AM ALWAYS LOOKING TO ADVANCE MY CAREER.
