After qualifying as a Chartered Accountant at KPMG, he has spent his career in large, multinational publicly-listed businesses: Country Road, AWB and most recently SEEK, where he has built and led one of corporate Australia’s most sophisticated treasury functions, including the funding platform to support a transformational M&A journey that grew market capitalisation from $1.5b to a peak of over $10 billion. He has extensive experience across all aspects of corporate finance and treasury, funding, debt and capital markets and derivatives and hedge accounting, and is a Fellow of the Australian Corporate Treasury Association.With more than twenty years' corporate and professional services experience in commodity, equity and financial markets, his career has been built on the design and successful implementation of strategic initiatives across the business cycle, from start-ups, integrations and growth phases, to restructuring and renewal of mature businesses.He has held senior executive, finance and treasury positions in ASX-listed and unlisted public companies both domestically and internationally, in sectors ranging from multinational retail and wholesale consumer branded goods, to financial services, commodities and funds management.A member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, he is experienced in operating with and at Board level, having also held directorships in a range of large unlisted public companies, and operating subsidiaries of publicly-listed corporations.
