Hi there, my name is Eddie Joyner!Currently, I am a fourth-year student attending my final semester at the University of North Carolina Wilmington obtaining my Bachelor's degree in Film Studies with a minor in Digital Arts. With my time in the film program, I have found my strong suit to be in editing, with my experience stemming from learning Adobe Premiere Pro in high school. I find it the most rewarding to see a finished product done right, meeting the guidelines I set for myself, and hope to find that reward when working with clients. I additionally have found joy in collaborating on sets with others, big or small scale. My experience on set includes First and Second AC, Sound Mixing, and Boom operating on various, student-led films/projects.Taking the steps into the Digital Arts minor, I never realized how much I needed this escape to reclaim my artistic abilities through design and illustration. I have become proficient in other Adobe products such as Photoshop and Illustrator, as well as picking up experience in Autodesk Maya for 3D computer graphics. Through the minor, I have also learned skills in web design with HTML and CSS. Focusing on Illustration, I find to work best with physical creation that I can transfer and refine in the digital space, and I hope to find openness from future clients/employers in regards to my methods.Being in a band, aside from the musical aspect, I have found my interests come to fruition in our online presence. My role in that field consists of content creation (writing, filming, and editing), managing posts on our social media, and creating digital designs such as our logos, music covers, advertisements for merchandise and music, and designing flyers when needed. This is where I find the most joy in my work because allows me to utilize my skills all at once. I hope to use this experience to help others with similar endeavors.All-in-all, I take pride in the work that I do. When doing my own work, attention to detail and guidelines is paramount, and I strive to use that mindset in my future careers.
