I provided technical support for the preparation and maintenance of annual budget projections for programs operated by Friends International and partner organizations from the ChildSafe Alliance.

As an European Union Aid Volunteer I was responsible for financial administration as well as internal audit functions for GVC and partner organisations on the EU safe migration program in Cambodia.

I was responsible for the collection of social investment data relating to loans and grants totalling in excess of £300 million to nearly 1000 organisations over 15 years. I developed a template which allowed for efficient capturing of raw data from several sources, using manual techniques and developing automated mechanisms to allow for repetition in future. The information I was able to gather will be used on an ongoing basis as SIB Group continue to innovate in the field of social investment, enabling funding of projects which would may not be eligible for traditional loans, despite the positive externalities generated.

In this role I provided technical investment analysis support to the defined benefit pensions consultants (partners, senior managers and managers) in our team. This included modelling of investment performances, gathering financial data, creating presentations and identifying opportunities for business development.

I joined the PwC One Assurance team after University, where my role centered around working with clients to gather evidence supporting assertions in their financial statements. During my time in Assurance I sat 5 certificate level ICAEW ACA exams, passing each on the first attempt.My main responsibilities included:- Substantive tests of detail.- Liaising with clients to develop a critical understanding of business processes and controls, ensuring their efficiency.- Communicating findings to client staff working in non technical roles, as well as interpreting their work in the context of IFRS/IAS.

In this role I assisted in the optimisation of online marketing techniques, with a particular orientation to the development of an online brand based on the niche strengths of the brick and mortar business. Through this experience I gained the knowledge base to complete a dissertation on the utilisation of traditional brand characteristics to improve an SMEs online presence.

My primary responsibility as an Army Undergraduate Bursar was to develop my leadership potential, while upholding the values and standards expected of a potential British Army Officer. Notable achievements included leadership training at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, as well as several international training exercises.
