After training I was deployed to the 1st Gulf war responsible for maintaining power generating equipment. The generators were purchased in Saudi Arabia, and therefore the manual was in Arabic. I relied solely on my technical skills, and the schematic.After the war was over I was sent to a maintenance unit in Germany responsible for repair of the entire divisions power generators. I received many commendations to include the Army achievement medal, and earned the rank of Specialist.
