After selling his business to Deloitte, Eddie became a partner of the firm where he was responsible for restructuring services and managing the strategic direction of the business.

SBR was founded in 1994 with the mission to help individuals and organisations cope with financial fragility through creating successful outcomes. This was Eddie’s first business venture, driven to work with clients one on one and create a customised, end to end process suited to cater for individual financial needs. He specialised in business restructure, insolvency, change management, and strategic planning both in the private sector and also with the Commonwealth Government. During this time, Eddie also became instrumental in developing new organisational structures for the delivery of native title services, which changed the way native title services have been delivered in New South Wales, Victoria, South-West, and Queensland to date. With some of his biggest achievements including being a part of the re-recognition teams under Native Title Act 1993(Act) that resulted in the re-recognition of new Native Title Representative Bodies (NTRBs) across Australia. As well as being one of the consultants engaged by the Registrar of Aboriginal Corporations for the review of the Aboriginal Councils and Incorporations Act.In 2013, Eddie had the opportunity to sell his business to Deloitte and become a Partner for a further 5 years before venturing out on his own again.

After feeling as if he had enough knowledge, skills, and expertise in the space, Eddie then ventured out on his own to launch SBR in 2013.
