Providing day to day management and oversight of the Oregon Native American Chamber (ONAC) and working in collaboration with the board of directors on achieving our three year strategic goals and activities. Expanding fundraising efforts in order to expand resources and services to the Native American business community in Oregon and SW Washington.

ONABEN: A Native American Business Network, a 501(c)(3) non-profit, was created by Northwest Indian tribes to increase the success of private businesses owned by Native Americans. ONABEN offers training and support focused on developing entrepreneurship in Indian communities. Programs are available to any Native American (regardless of tribal affiliation) and services are provided at local sites.Managed a variety of projects related to ONABEN's Northwest Native Capital Development Peer Group, a group of 21 Native community-base economic development organizations (eg. CDFI's, Small Business Development Centers). Worked with executive director and key staff on development efforts, which were on track to meet annual revenue goals. Managed communications tied to development and sponsorship efforts. Developed internal development tools to evaluate and track ONABEN's overall fundraising efforts.

Managed the planning, execution, and evaluation of all resource development related activities of NICWA. This includes, but is not limited to, the direct mail program, special events, and the cultivation and solicitation of major individual, corporate, foundation, and tribal donors and prospects. Responsibilities include supervising the development team and working closely with Board members, the Executive Director to achieve annual resource development goals and meet the long term objectives of the strategic plan. Current responsibilities include, but are not limited to:• Preparing and maintaining a comprehensive development strategy that includes sustainable activities including major gifts, planned gifts, foundation grants, corporate gifts, appeals to individuals, special initiatives, work place gifts, events and cause related/social marketing campaigns• Meeting annual organizational fundraising goals for both operational and programmatic needs by raising over $3.5 million in funding and increasing support by cultivating support from 200 new donors, and setting benchmarks in sponsorship support for annual conference• Creating new partnerships with potential supporters by identifying, prospecting, developing, and stewarding individual, corporate, and tribal donors on a national level.• Implemented social media strategies and expanded donor communication to increase awareness, educate, cultivate, and retain donors.

Responsible for developing and implementing DIFRC’s fundraising goals, which seek to generate long-term sustainable funding streams from a diversified base of renewable sources of revenue.• Collaborating with management, board and fundraising committee to strengthen sustainability strategies and assist in prioritizing the funding portfolio.• Engaging and supporting staff and board leadership in the fundraising process.• Organized foundation and major funder organization visits and coordinating follow-up.• Coordinated and implemented prospecting and individual solicitations.• Managed and organized the board fundraising committee.• Oversaw and directed all grant writing efforts encompassing strategy development, relationship building, program design and technical writing.• Launched comprehensive communications plan in coordination with development plan.• Coordinated and organized strategic planning for entire organization including staff and board.

Supervised multiple, special projects for the 2006 North American Indigenous Games (NAIG), which ranged from grant development, cultivation of tribal and corporate sponsors, and developing a comprehensive event website. Responsibilities included managing, coordinating, and supervising all facets of the planning, development, implementation, operation, and evaluation of projects.• Worked in collaboration with General Manager to secure over $1 million in funding from Tribal nations within one year.• Developed and managed entire grant development process, which garnered $400,000 in support.• Led team of consultants to conceptualize, develop, and monitor event website and event management software for an event of 10,000 participants.• Developed, edited, and managed professional communications for the CIGS.

Successfully planned and implemented - Telling the Story of Economic Sovereignty: A national forum on economic sovereignty in Indian Country for Tribal leaders.• Managed all stages of event development, logistical planning, and implementation.• Event resulted in the Shoshone-Bannock Tribes’ investment of $1 million in the NABNA
