With an ambitious business plan and impressive resources, Knightsbridge Student Housing is dedicated to investing in the UK and European student housing market. Through the public-facing brand of The Student Housing Company it markets student accommodation across the UK and Europe. In this role, I quickly identified that the existing operational software was not capable of providing the functionality the business required. I created the project proposal to secure the substantial funding required to replace the software and project lead the implementation. Initially a short term contract to cover the knowledge gap caused by the impending departure of the Financial Controller and the double digit growth of the business. The role evolved into having the overall responsibility for the development and maintenance of all financial systems used by the business, the development of MI reports and the production of business analysis.Working closely with the Finance Director and Financial Controller to ensure that the finance systems and reporting are fit for purpose. Working within the Procurement function to manage the resolution of invoice holds and payment related issues.
