OpFair is SFU's annual student-led technical career fair catered to current students and new graduates. It is a place where renown, top end companies come and interact with some of the top applied science talents in Canada. Highlights from my time as Director:- Strategized recruitment efforts of major tech companies with department stakeholders, resulting in a 30% increase in exhibitor registration annually- Managed relationships with sponsors to align event expectations and goals- Coordinated with cross-departmental teams on student engagement plans in order to increase student visibility, leading to a 50+ student attendance increase yearly.- Developed the marketing strategy with stakeholders in order to meet the requirements defined by our sponsors, resulting in an attendance increase of 100 students- Worked closely with stakeholders to transform and simplify organizational structure, leading to a streamlined planning timeline- Collaborated with organizing team to create a standardized volunteer training process, which includes volunteer packages, orientation workshops and feedback sessions- Developed and executed sponsor- and attendee-level communication plans
