I am founder of the Canterbury Community Company, which includes the Canterbury City Show, Canterbury Residents Group, Canterbury Community Group, This Is Canterbury podcast and the Canterbury Community Champions Awards scheme. I founded Canterbury Pride and Kent Pride. I have consulted for Meta on community building and I worked with them to develop the Community Manager Certification. I founded two local food delivery businesses, and I run 5 digital communities, including the largest in Kent. I was the Communications Director for Kent's largest inner-city music festival, City Sound Project. I helped to deliver the London 2012 Olympics and Paralympic Games, working on the Royal Venues Team. I was a director of Canterbury's Business Improvement District for which I served on the finance subcommittee, and I was an FSA approved director of the District of Canterbury Credit Union. I have written for 3 local news outlets, the Kentish Gazette, Canterbury Journal and the Canterbury Post. I fundraise for my local homeless charity, Catching Lives, and have raised over £40,000 in the past 4 years.
