About Eddy Argota - Housing Advocate

When human beings experience trauma and lose their homes, it is not uncommon for their lives to unravel. My great passion is to bring healing to people who have been through a traumatic/stressful experience. I help my clients, who include seniors, persons with disabilities, persons struggling with substance abuse, and youth to find safe and affordable housing so they can live up to their maximum potential and to know themselves as peaceful, complete, whole and safe.I know that no single approach is the right one for every individual, and so I have been trained in a range of skills including crisis intervention, housing plan management, community resource navigation, mental health first aid and empowerment coaching, an approach which focuses on a central premises that a client is naturally creative, resourceful and whole.My educational background includes a certification in Empowerment coaching accredited by the International Coaching Federation. I also have certifications in Working with the homeless population and Career and Academic Advising from the University of Calgary.
