As a Senior Finance Officer, I held a multifaceted position with responsibilities spanning Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and leadership within the Finance Team.Accounts Payable:• Managed Accounts Payable processes, including uploading invoices into the internal system, drawing cheques, and processing EFT & RTGS payments. • Liaised with creditors, ensuring invoices were appropriately signed by managers and paid in a timely manner.• Conducted meticulous reconciliation of discrepancies to maintain accuracy in financial records.Accounts Receivable:• Oversaw Accounts Receivable functions, depositing cheques, and matching EFT and cheques with corresponding invoices. • Ensured prompt attention to all outstanding invoices and efficiently processed receipts.Finance Responsibilities:• Managed the Finance Team, providing leadership and guidance to team members. • Served as the 2IC to the Corporate Manager (Finance Manager), actively contributing to financial management and decision-making processes.• Undertook reconciliation of various financial elements, including Company Corporate Cards, Swifts/RTGS, stamp duty, branch expenses, ATM Teller differences, Central Banking Statement, and cash deliveries.Additional Duties:•Coordinated and managed the Fixed Term Deposits Portfolio. • Led the Joint Account Project as a Team Leader.• Maintained daily financial records and invoices.• Prepared statistical ad hoc monthly reports.• Processed and addressed customer complaints.• Managed Broker Investments and investment register.• Proactively assisted branches with inquiries and End of Day processes.• Provided support to the Head of Finance & Management.In summary, my role as a Finance Officer was dynamic, involving leadership, comprehensive financial management, and ensuring efficiency and accuracy in both Accounts Payable and Receivable functions.
