Starting as a semi-skilled sheet metal operator I have very quickly climbed through the ranks to become a TIG Welder. Coming from no experience in TIG Welding to welding every day I have learned very quickly on the job.

My role at Clifton Surveys was an AutoCAD Technician, drawing floor plans and elevations from point clouds obtained by an X7 laser scanner. The measured floor plans were drawn to within 10mm accuracy and I worked along side the leading AutoCAD Technician to produce industry leading plans used by architects, councils and private contractors. Working alongside my colleague, I improved my skills with CAD very quickly as he was an expert in the role. I would say this role taught me, again, how to work in a team as well as work alone to meet deadlines.

Working at Konk! I gained experience in metalworking in a strict workshop environment, heavily emphasising on the health and safety aspect of working around heavy machinery. I worked closely with the head of the metal work department to get jobs out on time and with precision. Working here taught me the strong ability to work within a team and also to work by myself to reach deadlines and implement more efficient practices to make sure deadlines were met.
