I write historical fiction, especially fiction based on family stories. Thus far, my books take place in the late 18th century. I have a series of 4 novels based on the lives of John and Susan Dean, my ancestors, who moved from England, to Scotland, to Ireland, and finally, to Nova Scotia. They had 8 kids (and lots of adventures) on the way. The fourth book in the series, A GARDEN IN THE WILDERNESS, is published by Borealis Press.
