Through effective supervision and on-the-job training, the team achieved significant progress in the acceleration of efforts to end Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) in Imo State, Nigeria, as supported by UNFPA-UNICEF/ UNJP.

I played a key role as a Program Officer in the Surge project PEPFAR/CDC-funded HIV/AIDS Surge Response Program in River State. I successfully managed and mentored a team of 30 community testers and a data entry clerk. My efforts in case finding for People Living with HIV (PLHIV) and linkage to treatment (ART) led to a considerable increase in HIV testing rates and timely treatment for PLHIVs in my assigned LGA, contributing to the control of the HIV epidemic. I provided technical guidance on community case finding and effective linkage to Antiretroviral Therapy (ART) for PLHIVs, develop work plans and managed the distribution and usage of testing commodities in the State. Also, I perform routine review of performance data and use various databases to direct the best testing strategies, identified gaps in program implementation, and pursue areas of improvement. Additionally, I facilitated several capacity-building activities, stakeholder engagements, and draft reports on overall project activities. I support all data collection exercises and ensure adherence to the HIV testing algorithm and prevent clients’ falsification and recycling by the field Officers. These accomplishments reflect my dedication, skills, and positive impact in various projects and educational roles.It also demonstrate a proven track record of successfully contributing to the achievement of project goals and objectives in the health and development sectors.
