‘Showhouse’ is a programme on RTE television, where two designers compete against each other for the public vote. Each designer is given the same house & budget. The concept for the design of my house was ‘Memories’. Based on the concept, I designed the house around a vintage theme, with each room in the house triggering a memory in every person, who either visited it or saw it on television.

Oran Pre-Cast dealt with the manufacture & fitting of pre-cast concrete elements within a building e.g. floors, walls, stairs. My work here involved detailing architect’s drawings to be sent for manufacture & fitting.

- Designing & drawing up buildings to be put forward for planning permission.- Putting together & finalise planning applications. - Site work was also a major part of my job here i.e. measurement surveys & snagging. - Meeting with clients both on site & during the design & planning process
