I delivered a QQI Level 4 Digital Media Technology course in Baldoyle Training Centre from May 2018 to January 2019. This course is run for two evenings a week over 10 weeks.Some of the content that we covered in this course was Technology and Business, Social Media Channels for Business Use, Social Media Management Tools, Wordpress and Web Design, Search Engine Optimisation, Google Analytics and Adwords, Creating Video Content for a Business.I was required to both design and deliver the course based on given learner outcomes from QQI. I had to manage class time effectively and to try and utilise different learning methods (such as notes, practical examples, case studies and activities) to keep each learner engaged and interested for the duration of the course.Each learner had their own business to work on for the 10 weeks so I had to ensure that each lesson had relevant examples built in to help keep everyone engaged and focused on their project as well as ensuring that they all had individual help when required. The course was assessed in three parts – a project, a portfolio and a skills demonstration. I had to ensure that all learners were on schedule for their assessments for the duration of the course by scheduling time in class with each learner to discuss their progress and any issues they may have faced. I was also responsible for the marking of all assessments in line with the award standards from QQI

My main responsibility here was creating and implementing marketing campaigns to increase brand awareness and to encourage the local communities to get involved in using the townchat.ie platform. I was responsible for setting campaign and marketing budgets as well as tracking the results of these campaigns across both online and offline channels. I also helped to find and create local, relevant content that could be uploaded to the platform and ensuring all social media channels were updated consistently.

I was responsible for the maintenance of the town website as well as the design and maintenance of websites within town.ie for small and local businesses to help them compete with larger players in the market. I also designed any logos and marketing materials (posters, leaflets and business cards) that clients required.

Here I was responsible for producing adverts for clients to go in the paper. I have learned to work to tight deadlines and improved my time management skills because of this. I also dealt with clients directly in regards to their adverts so my communication skills improved greatly here.
