As part of the Orkla Group M&A Team, I was responsible for all the Post Merger Integration processes and Carve-Out preparations. For the Buy-side processes, I was in charge of running an efficient and coherent group-wide PMI process, ensuring that synergy targets are translated into specific realizable plans and tracked; and for our Sell-side process I was leading the separation preparation process for the potential transaction businesses, helping to maximize the value of our carve-outs.

KPMG Integration & Separation team assist clients dealing with various challenges they face through the deal cycle both on buy side and sell side.My role has been focused primarily on managing projects or workstreams assisting clients preparing for carve outs, i.e. develop a Separation Blueprint together with the client that would explain to potential buyers how the standalone operating model for the carve-out would look like and the consequences and cost implications that this model would have. I have also assisted clients on buy-side with evaluating the carve-out readiness of the target. One of my latest clients wanted help to prepare an all-inclusive 1500 pages training document that explains every activity required, including detailed how-to templates for all phases of an integration and a separation.

I led a collaboration and knowledge programme for the Global Industrial Manufacturing and Automotive Sector Leadership. The programme was set to build a connected and informed global community across KPMG biggest member firms and key accounts to ensure we would always bring the best of global KPMG to clients. This specifically involved supporting the Global Lead Partners and the wider Client Service Teams of KPMG tier 1 clients with a range of different business development activities.This role has given me comprehensive experience with working closely with some of KPMGs most senior global leaders, driving business improvements across many segmented areas, presenting ideas and strategic initiatives to senior management, and driving the processes (with help from an onshore and offshore team) to ensure successful completion. As KPMG comprises of independent member firms, any initiative from the global business team involves complex stakeholder management and negotiation.
