The re-refinery wanted to expand its services and offer hazardous waste disposal along with its current services. I was hired to develop the hazardous waste division. Initially, I created training presentations, various forms, Compliance documents, and SOPs. I worked with the IT dept to design hazardous waste programs and provide the information needed to ensure the programs are compliant with EPA and DOT regulations that prepare and print manifests, labels, and LDRs. Performed site visits, submitted applications, and worked with the various regulatory agencies setting up 10-day locations at our various offices throughout the United States. Once the compliance portion of the business was set, I started to work with the customers, assisting them with hazardous waste disposal, including onsite visits to assess projects and take samples and reviewing SDS sheets to generate quotes, profiles, manifests, labels, and LDRs. Scheduling the pick-up of the waste internally and with third-party transporters. I go onsite for lab pack projects, identifying and packing waste. Upon completion of the job, generate transactions. Oversee the management of record keeping at each facility.
