My focus is on events targeting the Corporate and Pharmaceutical segments, supporting the Sales team in engaging with their target audiences at conferences, trade shows, and hosted events. I am responsible for managing the events for this segment from end to end, including contract negotiations, logistics, stand design ideation, and co-ordinating speakers/presenters. My role also includes the production of promotional merchandise to use at events across all segments of the business. I focus on producing sustainable swag, with an emphasis on useful items that will last a long time.

Event logistics - I am jointly responsible for the management of event logistics, including shipping, collateral, and venue coordination. The Central team is responsible for upwards of 40 events per year, both Digital Science hosted and conference booths. We also assist with events for our portfolio companies when needed, as well as with some internal staff events and retreats.Social media and event promotion - I assist our Social Manager with events content for the Digital Science social media channels, creating graphics and copy to promote our attendance. Where attendee lists are available, I work with our Sales and Marketing teams to produce pre and post-event communications to attendees. I am also responsible for maintaining the events section of the Digital Science website.Exhibition & merchandising design - Part of my role involves coordinating graphics for banners, exhibition stands, and company merchandise - from creative briefs through to production. One of my main focuses when sourcing these pieces is sustainability. Wherever possible, I have ensured that the merchandise we produce is useful, sustainably produced, and recyclable. An example is for an event in 2021, instead of producing any printed collateral, we created a landing page hosting all the pieces we would have sent, and produced vegan chocolate bars with recyclable paper packaging, fully branded with a dynamic QR code pointing to the aforementioned page. Stakeholder liaison - Another part of my day-to-day is liaising with stakeholders and their teams to coordinate attendance at events, as well as contributing to organising any speaking opportunities and workshops. This includes pre-event briefings, and post-event feedback calls.
